Most youth who would benefit from care never receive it. Lets change that.

A structured and evidence-based brief intervention designed to reduce symptoms and prevent the escalation of subclinical anxiety and depression to clinical thresholds among rural youth.

A culturally-adapted intervention informed by Youth Advisory Stakeholder groups to ensure our model meets the specific needs and addresses the unique challenges of rural youth.

Rural youth with subclinical to moderate anxiety and/or depression

Rural youth have higher rates of anxiety and depression, but a more difficult time accessing mental health providers. This telehealth model of brief intervention increases access to care.

By integrating resilience-building components (optimism, self-efficacy, positive social support, sense of belonging) into the treatment, we aim to enhance the intervention’s effectiveness and promote long-term mental health outcomes.

6 30 minute Zoom sessions (during the school day or at home)
